School Age Gymnastics

Here at VGA, we focus on early level skill development, gymnastics terminology, and, above all, FUN!  Your child will see improved strength, flexibility, balance, and spatial awareness through learning skills on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.  We combine compulsory elements from the USA Gymnastics guidelines in our Level 1 through 5 classes.  We use basic gymnastics progressions to keep the classes challenging, fun, and safe.  As your child develops all of their skills in one level, they will then advance through the next levels of our program.

VGA feels that positive reinforcement is the best way to help a child progress. We nourish their emotional confidence and self-esteem by “ringing the bell” for newly learned gymnastics skills, and providing a “Gymnastics Diploma” for completion of each level. Children love to be acknowledged for something they’ve worked so hard to accomplish.

We teach children in a structured class program that can be applied to every day life as well as progression into competitive gymnastics, should you and your child decide to take this route. Our class structure focuses on gymnastics skills development, following directions, and respect of other students.

In summary, our School Age Gymnastics program is focused on teaching gymnastics in in a structured, safe, and of course FUN environment.
